Role and Responsibilities

  • Implement highly scalable big data analytics systems in a cloud environment
  • Work in a multi-disciplinary scrum team. Collaborate with other groups including SW Development, Product Management, UX Design, QA, Technical Support and DevOps.
  • Be constantly challenged to learn and grow with new technologies and complex problems
  • Have shared ownership of the cloud-based products and services you build
  • Understand and continuously be aware of data security requirements of our various data sources

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g. bash, Python) and Java programming language
  • Strong knowledge of data processing tools (e.g. Airflow and Pentaho)
  • Strong knowledge of Tableau, good at preparing data source and dash board
  • Experienced with related AWS services (e.g. Redshift, S3, Lambda, Kinesis Firehose, Kibana)
  • Experienced with NoSQL databases (e.g. Mongo DB)
  • Experienced with GitHub and Jenkins
  • Agile/Scrum software development methodologies

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Vertica and Greenplum
  • Experience with OLAP and MDX
  • DevOps skills: create build & install scripts, create/manage Dockers, UNIX-based systems management, release management, production monitoring, etc.
  • Hadoop ecosystem knowledge (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, etc.)
