Job Description

This program is intended to help support newcomers with lower benchmarks find entry level jobs and improve their job retention. Clients will receive 10 weeks of part-time in-class training and job search support as well as 3 weeks of post-employment mentoring support.

• Essential Skills and Employment Skills

• Employment-speci c Language Training

• Safety Training

• Computer Skills

• Workshops/Presentations/Job Fairs/On-Site


• Post- Employment Mentoring


Classes are Offered at Both the Southeast Forest Lawn and

Northeast Welcome Centre Locations:

Part-time: Mon to Thur: 6:00 pm – 8:45 pm


This program is open to Permanent Residents (PR), Refugees, and Temporary Foreign Workers, (Live-In Caregivers) Who are 18 Years of Age or Older and Canadian Language Benchmarks Level 3 or Higher
