Corporate/Litigation Legal Secretary Support the attorney by providing information and administrative duties. The secretary must represent the attorney to clients and others in a professional manner. Duties: Transcribe, format, and proofread information and other legal documents. Review, verify, and distribute correspondence and reports. Draft letters and documents. Organize client conferences and attorney meetings. Schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses, and other special functions. Maintain attorney's schedule by planning teleconferences, dispositions, and travel. Record court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements. Prepare expense reports. Know when to act and when to refer matters to the attorney. Document and input attorney billable time and other expenses. Prepare invoices and track payments. Maintain client and attorney confidentiality. Use filing systems, scan records, record meeting discussions, and maintain evidence. Enhance department and organization reputations by accepting ownership of the role. Legal Secretary Skills and Qualifications: Must be reliable and professional. Must possess documentation skills, scheduling experience, supply management experience, proper phone etiquette, office experience, and excellent communication skills.
