Sandvik Coromant is looking for a Regional Business Manager Location: Eastern Ontario Our Regional Business Manager is responsible for the leadership of a Regional Team of Technical Sales Representatives, driving interactions with customers and distributors. Leadership, high product focus and strong business planning are required in this role to maximize overall regional sales, while meeting cost targets. Sales area includes GTA east to Coburg and includes the Niagara Peninsula. Key Responsibilities include: Providing strategic direction and coaching of the team, including sales budgets, cost savings and focus products Communication and leadership both with the team and with external customers and distributors Commercial responsibilities for the region, including overall pricing and customer support Responsible for all distribution activities in the region; including relationship building, marketing initiatives, Coropak campaigns and customer service focus Responsible for the overall business plan preparation and implementation for the region Actively participates brand marketing in the region Responsible for utilization of CRM to track customer support and proactively strategize potential sales improvements Manages resources to deliver internal and customer projects on time and within budget Responsible for regional A&S budgets and all costs associated with responsible region Leadership Ensures that all activities are carried out in accordance with Sandvik values and current company policies. Hires, motivates, trains, evaluates and supports sales team members to accomplish the goals and objectives of the customer segment business. Coordinates and ensures active support for the initiation and completion of performance management throughout the calendar year. Responsible for team building activities as required Takes responsibility for professional development and enhancement of skills for the team. Safety and Environment Complies with Sandvik Coromant safety policies and applicable government, customer or industry regulations or requirements. Identifies and reports potential safety concerns and partners with EHS to implement solutions Required Education, Experience and Competencies: Post-secondary education in a related field preferred (i.e. mechanical engineering) Equivalent relevant work experience is acceptable Fully fluent in English Solid knowledge of the metal cutting industry in the region Budget & operations Management experience preferred 5 + years minimum related metal cutting experience 3 + years minimum related management experience Proven ability to manage accounts and professional relationships to help grow the business Experience leading a team and providing performance feedback to support organizational objectives Proactive strategic planning, with the ability to provide options and solutions for business growth Good understanding the industry both locally and from a global perspective, understanding competitor offerings and strategy Proficiency in MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written with all levels of internal and customer personnel Solid ability to problem solve, through analytical abilities.
