Title - Human Resources Manager (Maternity Leave Contract) Department - Corporate Human Resources Length of Contract - Approximately 14 months The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the Canadian Operations consisting of approximately 100 employees located throughout Canada. This position will also assist the Human Resources Department with US and Mexico Operations. Key Responsibilities Provide HR support to all employees. Run payroll on a semi-monthly basis using ADP Workforce Now. Oversee the Company's Canadian benefit and Group Pension/RRSP program, including administration. Provide ongoing support and coaching for Managers regarding performance management, discipline, absence management (disability leave, unpaid holiday), etc. Maintain a thorough and updated knowledge of human resources practices, legislation and policies to respond to employee and management inquiries. Conduct exit interviews and provide appropriate feedback. Write HR related employee communications. Assist in recruitment activities such as interviewing, conducting reference and background checks, writing offer letters. Ensure programs and policies are consistently communicated. Coordinate and provide guidance throughout the performance review process. Coordinate immigration matters for cross-border work. Ensure that individual HR files are kept up-to-date. Manage the Human Resources Intranet site. Provide direction to the health and safety program, including participating in the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Plan and organize various Company-wide events such as Take our Kids to Work Day', Lunch & Learn sessions. Conduct monthly reporting. Act as facility manager for the Toronto office. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Degree/Diploma in Human Resources or Business CHRP designation an asset A minimum of 4 years HR Generalist experience in a fast paced organization Experience processing payroll, including remittance and annual reporting requirements is a big asset Advance Microsoft Office skills Self-started with the ability to initiate and develop activities Strong sense of accountability and personal ownership for all areas of responsibilities Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with employees and key stakeholders Full commitment to conduct business with the utmost integrity and in full compliance with the law is absolutely essential.
