Position Summary The role of the Pharmacist is to provide supervision and ensure a controlled dispensing and inventory of narcotics, controls and targets. Our Medicine Hat location is the only site in Canada utilizing the ever expanding ability of pharmacist to prescribe and manage patient care to do wartfarin to injectable anti coagulation therapy, bridging pre and post surgery with surgeons and internalists. Your Day To Day Interpersonal skills required to interact with patients, co-workers and other health professionals. Receives verbal Rx orders and accurately reduces same to writing in adherence with local laws and regulations Evaluate appropriateness of prescription orders with consideration for patient safety and legal requirements Provides Clinical services based on the organizational framework Completes third party adjudications necessary to complete prescriptions Coordinates and supervises the non-sterile compounding and dispensing of drugs according to medication orders issued by authorized medical care providers and is responsible for the timely processing of medication orders and the distribution of medications.
